World Harvest Strategy
With SA at the forefront of God’s plan for renewal and revival, and also the sporting capital of the world because of various international sporting events hosted locally, the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ holds an unprecedented opportunity for the Good news of a saving Jesus to be spread around the world, without leaving the shores of our beloved SA.
The concept is to work with various churches, organisations and individuals, nationally and internationally in bringing a team of missionaries together to spread the Gospel and lead people from SA and all over the world to Christ. Working with International churches and organizations, these people saved by His grace can be followed up and discipled in their own respective countries after the World Cup.
Although this is primarily an Evangelistic action, local communities and churches can also be blessed and spiritually revived by numerous programs that can be launched inside the host cities and other towns of SA. By bringing such a large number of Christian people together the opportunity for networking, mutual encouragement and spiritual revival is rampant.
The basic strategy is: to involve around 500 missionaries from SA and other countries, languages and culture groups, and divide them into smaller teams of around 10 individuals. These teams will be sent to the different host cities and other towns in SA for outreach and other community work. Larger cities will get more teams than smaller cities, but on average each host city can have between 2-5 teams. These teams have to be made up of individuals with different language capabilities. The missionaries will also have to be adults that have certain basic training and experience in outreach and ministry.
Our Value statement:
- We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, in their original writing, to be fully inspired by God and accept them as the supreme and final authority for faith and life.
- We believe that God created man in His own image; that man sinned and thereby incurred the penalty of sin, which is death physically and spiritually and that all human beings inherited a sinful nature.
- We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for the sins of humanity as a substitutionary sacrifice according to the Scriptures and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood.
- We believe that every person on earth should hear the good news of the gospel in order to have a chance to choose between life and death.
- We endeavour to carry out the great commission as given in Matt 19:28-29 in every possible way.
