Vanderbijlpark is uniquely situated to form the central base for this event. Vanderbijlpark is firstly very centrally located between 8 out of the 10 Host City venues. Secondly it is very easily reachable from OR Tambo Airport in JHB, and thus will the delegates not be burdened unnecessary further traveling.  Thirdly, Vanderbijlpark is not a Host city for the World Cup, so it will be much easier logistically to host such a big amount of people in Vanderbijlpark.

The idea is to bring the +/- 500 missionaries with hosts and representatives from the different World Cup Host Cities together in Vanderbijlpark for the week leading up to the World Cup Opening Ceremony.  During the mornings these people have to do team preparation in different venues all over Vanderbijlpark.  During the Evenings all these delegates must gather with all the Christians of Vanderbijlpark at a central venue for the Prayer concerts.

Accommodation, Food & Transport

The congregants of the churches in Vanderbijlpark will be asked to host these people in their houses for the week before the Opening Ceremony, and for a couple of days over the final celebration.

This means that around 1000 households will be asked to host 1-2 persons over this time.  This hosting will include food, accommodation and helping with the necessary transport to the different preparation events in Vanderbijlpark and to the Prayer Concerts.  All these households will also be invited to attend the Prayer Concerts.
