12-14 March 2010 – A weekend to remember!

The 2010 World Cup soccer is here with us in less than 100 days!

In preparation to the 2010 World Harvest outreach project, a training and prayer concert weekend was held 12-14 March 2010. Eighty odd delegates registered for the conference and came from all over the country, i.e. Polokwane, PE, J-Bay, Klerksdorp, Clarens, Johannesburg, Pretoria and of course Vanderbijlpark. Delegates were trained in Short Term Missions, Big Screen Events, Creative Arts, Living Ball, Evangelism Explosion, KidsGames and Ubabalo. We had the privilege to have some of the leaders in their respective fields that did the training, i.e. Hein Reyneke, Adriaan Adams, Joseph Jacobs, Odette Jensen, Charles van Zyl, Malcolm Thomas and Karin Grobler.

Saturday evening saw the coming together of international speakers that enthused us to reach out and pray for our country. Rev Cassie Carstens inspired us to have a heart for Africa, Dr Nicolaas Eberl spoke about the effect the world cup could have on South Africa and Pastor Edward Gibbons lead us in prayer! Pieter McKarthy and the Chill band project, our lead worshippers, lead us in an intimate time of worship unto the Lord.
The outcome of the weekend was...

    • People that accepted Jesus as their Saviour for the first time
    • People that are excited to reach out into their community
    • People that connected with each other
    • Friends were made
    • Jesus Christ, our Saviour, the One and Only, was exalted!

We want to extend a warm thank you to all who made this weekend an unforgettable one for the delegates... you know who you are and in what capacity you served – God is your exceedingly great reward!
